Role 01
Product Marketing Lead
You decide how edisyl explains itself: which problem we lead with, and where each kind of buyer starts. Founding marketing partner, not a demand-gen hire.
“The product works. The hard part now is saying what it's for, in a few sentences, to the right person.”
What this actually is
- You own how edisyl is positioned: the problem we lead with, the buyers who feel it most, the results they can expect, and why we're different from what they use today.
- You choose the first use case for each type of customer, and the path from that first use case to everything else the product can do. A product that solves many problems doesn't get marketed by listing them.
- You run standing discovery with customers, prospects, and the sales team, and study won and lost deals to find what creates conviction and what creates confusion.
- You build the material that carries the story: site, sales deck, product pages, demos, customer stories, and the language sales uses in a live conversation.
What we're looking for
- ~7+ years in product marketing. You've taken a broad or technical product to market where the value wasn't obvious from the feature list.
- Positioning from evidence. Your message came out of customer interviews, sales calls, and real usage, not a whiteboard session.
- The discipline to choose. You've picked the one problem a product leads with and held that line when everyone wanted their use case in the headline.
- Enterprise fluency. You've marketed enterprise software across AI, data, analytics, infrastructure, or knowledge management, and can turn a capability into a business outcome.
- Writing that survives contact. Messaging that still worked in a live sales conversation, and customer stories buyers actually believed.
Signals we pay attention to
- You've introduced a genuinely new kind of software to a market that didn't have a name for it yet.
- You've helped a company move from founder-led selling to a motion other people can run, and you set strategy and did the work yourself.
- Bonus: a broad platform you sold through one focused use case, or a background in product, strategy, sales, or founding a company.
